ROC President Pozdnyakov invited to Olympic Summit in Lausanne despite Ukraine war
Russia's Stanislav Pozdnyakov is one of only three Presidents of National Olympic Committees (NOCs) to be invited to the Olympic Summit in Lausanne later this week, despite his country's invasion of Ukraine, it was announced here today.

IOC announces retirement of IOC TMS managing director Timo Lumme and appoints Anne-Sophie Voumar as successor
The IOC today announced that Timo Lumme, Managing Director of IOC Television & Marketing Services (IOC TMS), has decided to retire at the end of the year. Anne-Sophie Voumard has been appointed to succeed him as of 1 January 2023. Ms Voumard has been with the IOC for 13 years, working as Vice President, Broadcast & Media Rights at IOC TMS at Mr Lumme’s side.

IOC approves strategic framework on human rights
The International Olympic Committee (IOC)’s Strategic Framework on Human Rights was approved today by the IOC Executive Board (EB). The Framework will fundamentally shape the working practices of the IOC, the Olympic Games and the Olympic Movement, ensuring that human rights are respected within their respective remits.

Tokyo 2020 venues scheduled to reopen for public use
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) has announced plans to reopen three of the eight new permanent venues used at the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020. Another Tokyo 2020 venue, the Yumenoshima Park Archery Field, has been open since 31 October.
