The International Boxing Association (IBA) has delivered a 400-page report to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to address the long-standing governance concerns raised against the governing body.

According to the IBA, the document has information on all reforms done over the last two years.

"This document reflects all reforms and improvements done by the IBA over the last two years and was delivered in a timely manner to the IOC in response to the requested areas of concerns coming out of the recent IOC Executive Board meeting," an IBA release said.

"Following the inquiry of the IBA to provide detailed points of concern, the IOC sent the requested information.

The IBA formally responded on each point in detail with a view to the pathway for IBA’s suspension of recognition to be lifted by the IOC ahead of Paris 2024 as it will mark the milestone 120th anniversary of boxing’s participation the Olympic Games.

The IBA was suspended in 2019 due to concerns over judging and refereeing, financial stability and governance.

The relationship between the IBA and the IOC slumped since Russian IBA President Umar Kremlev took charge of the organisation.

An IOC Boxing Task Force handled the sport at Tokyo 2020 and is set to do so at Paris 2024, although that is not guaranteed due to a row over technical officials.

Boxing remains off the initial programme for Los Angeles 2028.

"The IBA has sent all the requested responses and documents to the IOC totalling over 400 pages," IBA secretary general and chief executive George Yerolimpos said.

We are open to continued dialogue and cooperation for the sake of our core values and duty to protect our athletes, and the sport of boxing itself.

We hope this helps to ensure a fair evaluation of the IBA and its progress done and will lead to a full reinstatement of the organization in the Olympic Movement and production of the boxing events in the lead-up and during Paris 2024.

Before the start of the Men's World Boxing Championships here, the IBA announced it had set up an Ad-hoc Committee to facilitate dialogue with the IOC to resolve the issues between the two organisations.

Kremlev claimed that a "collaborative approach" is needed to secure the sport's future at the Olympic Games.

"This spirit of dialogue was at the heart of the decision taken by the IBA Board of Directors to create an IBA Ad hoc Communication Committee composed of representatives from all continents including the five Presidents of IBA’s different confederations and other leaders from the Olympic movement," Yerolimpos added.

I have trust in the process and that ultimately the dialogue taken between the IBA, and the IOC will ultimately achieve what is best for our athletes.

Before today's report, the IBA said it had set up an ad-hoc Committee to facilitate dialogue with the IOC.

Yerolimpos said the ad-hoc Committee is represented by himself, all continental federation Presidents, vice-president Ajay Singh from India and IBA Board of Directors member Jinqiang Zhou, who is also the Deputy Minister of Sport in China.

It was also claimed that a meeting has taken place between IOC and IBA ad-hoc Committee, with an outcome expected soon.
