The International Tennis Federation’s plans: 11-day tournament in Paris 2024, advance gender equality with Hopman Cup 2022 and ATP to understand Djokovic’s PTPA
“Tennis was one of the first sports that was 50-50, gender-balanced men and women, which is very important to the IOC”, said ITF president David Haggerty in an interview with Around the Rings in Tokyo.
When you start watching tennis or playing it, its rules are not easy to understand. What is that counting from 15 to 30 and then to 40? What is that tie break? But you learn. It is much more complex to understand the distribution of power in tennis, a fragmented sport in which its federation does not have the power of FIFA or World Athletics, but owns some jewels.

At Tsurigasaki beach, the sand is dark, shines at times like silver and burns the feet. There, 100 kilometers south of Tokyo, history is being made, because it is the first time that surfing is at an Olympic Games.
